Frankenpolish!

Become your own mixologist and mix a frankenpolish using eyeshadow and clear nail varnish. There are lots of YouTube videos showing how to do it, and it is so easy.

From Drop Box
Coat with a top coat and it's a depth of colour you don't usually achieve with normal polishes. I use Seche Vite as a top coat as it's fast drying and very shiny!

You can usually pick up the ingredients for this at all car boot sales for pence so have a go next time you're out and about.

BRrrr - it's cold out there

Not many posts of late as it's been too cold for hunting treasures at the car boot sales. Anyhoo, I'm now going to show you something I made from a few scraps of material I found. I just made up the pattern as I went along and was pretty pleased with the result which is a gift for a friend I'm meeting tomorrow. Just a 'thanks for being a great friend' present which are nice to receive.

(This is the back of it)
It is finished off with a 'made with love' ribbon I picked up from a tailor's shop. Can you see the little buttons down the edge of the fold? I decided to sew it together with these and a few little discrete stitches on thepressure points of the bag. Half of the bag is machine sewed and the rest is hand finished. I love the material on the back of it that has cupcakes on it - delicious! A little bit of ribbon on the hook of the coat hanger just finishes it all off nicely. It's nice to make things from scraps that other people would just throw away.
